My Focus & Approach
I work a lot with men and male-identifying individuals, specifically within the multicultural competency space supporting communities of color and multicultural, biracial and immigrant populations, as well as families and caretakers in the Autism Spectrum community.
My approach to healing and transformation is grounded in Transpersonal and Depth-oriented perspectives, while using somatic, experiential and mindfulness-based methods. I’m confident in working with attachment issues, PTSD, complex grief, relationship issues and holistic, client-centered integration of psychedelic experiences. Also, as a Bay Area native of Italian and Japanese American heritage, my practices are formed around intergenerational trauma, issues of acculturation, and spiritual guidance.
No matter where you are in your journey, our work together is focused on helping you understand the intersecting parts of how you identify with yourself and honoring the way forward that feels most right for you.
My Educational Background
I have been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) since 2015, having received my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in 2011. I trained extensively in somatic mindfulness-based psychotherapy with the Hakomi Institute of California and have integrated training in Psychodynamic Psychology, Transpersonal Psychology, Internal Family Systems, Trauma/PTSD, and the Enneagram into my approach.
To expand my practices and offer more avenues for clients to achieve growth and wellness, I trained in Ketamine Assisted Therapy with the Polaris Insight Center and the Sage Institute.
